A masterpiece in progress
Jeff Steinberg, a.k.a. the Tiny Giant, is more than a conqueror. "He lives the life of an overcomer", it says on his . (Lady Bracknell does not know what "an overcomer" is. Indeed, she is far from convinced that "overcomer" is a real word. But she accepts that Jeff has every right to call himself whatever he likes.)

Hmm. Anyway, Jeff was born with "no arms and badly deformed legs". He appears to have spent his entire childhood in care, finishing up in The Good Shepherd Ö÷²¥´óÐã for the Physically Handicapped in Philadephia. He met his Messiah through "the love of a local Christian couple" and has spent the last 30 years travelling more than two million miles around the world "delivering his very special message . . . that each person is wonderfully created in 'God's unique design,', with potential they never even dreamed possible."
Mrs Jeff, who travels and ministers with her husband, "brings a heart for hurting women". Whatever that means.

I feel strangely queasy since visiting Jeff's website. Quick, pass the bucket
Now maybe it would be unfair to scoff at this guy. He may now be very happy and content because of his 'relationship' with his God. However I can't help feeling very uneasy about this. Why exactly are Jeff and his cohorts willing to pray for us poor cripples? Is it because they might be able to 'cure' us and 'make us whole again'? Well if you don't mind I'll take a rain check. I'm okay as I am. I don't need any Christian group to tell me I'm unique and have potential to be what ever I want to be. However if they could put a word in so we have accessible transport, accessible buildings, access to drugs that control pain and the ability to shoot people who stare with lazer vision like that bloke off of the X-Men then maybe I'd be prepared to listen to his message.
What a shame Genna C and marmiteboy seem to completely miss the point. So, I'll address it directly. Perhaps you should read the material on both of my websites (https://tinygiant.com & more carefully and spare us all the sarcasm, and your self-pity .
First, I am very content with my physical condition, and with my relationship with God. I don't think for even a moment that God makes mistakes. I believe "I am made to be awesome and wonderful." (Psalm 139:14) Oh, by the way, overcomer is a word - I am one! I know there is a job that I'm uniquely qualified to do.
Next, I and my cohorts are not trying to "heal" or cure us cripples, as you put it, but to let the world know there are things that can "handicap" a person that has nothing to do with our physical appearance - things like circumstances, relationships and, yes even our own attitudes. I believe that a real "handicap" is anything that keeps you and me from being or becoming all that we were created to be - A Masterpiece in Progress!
You see, I am one of you, born with physical disabilities: no arms or hands, and malformed legs. Yet it doesn't even slow me down. You see, I'm married, a father & grandfather, a recording artist, a Speaker, Producer, author a lot more. Like the Apostle Paul (who also had a handicap), I "quit focusing on the handicap and started appreciating the gift. I drive, traveling more than 80,000 miles per year Internationally, to Churches, schools, businesses, Television and much more for more than 35 years. I see my limitations as an opportunity to rise above the expectations of others who judge my potential based on my physical appearance and stature. I know that I can accomplish most anything I'm willing to work hard enough to be good at, with God's help. What about you??
