While getting all our pages and blogs ready on the Ö÷²¥´óÐã Radio Scotland website for the Edinburgh Festival I asked our Zones Senior Producer Elizabeth Clark what we can look forward to over the next few weeks:

Here at the Zones, we're busy mining the archive for lots of Edinburgh Festival-themed content. We're preparing 7 Zones in total which will bring you over 35 hours of entertaining radio. Our Comedy Zone always performs really well while the Fringe is in town, using both new interviews with current acts and pulling out some old classics that they might have recorded earlier in their careers. The Culture Zone will profile Edinburgh as a city with an incredibly rich artistic heritage as well as dedicating a whole Zone to events at the International, Book and Art Festivals and not forgetting the .

In the Conversation Zone, there's a whole Zone dedicated to authors appearing at the International Book Festival and last but not least, our Celtic Zone will feature some of the brilliant traditional musicians and bands appearing on the Fringe. Rummaging through the vaults, it's amazing to recall the range of performers who've taken to the Edinburgh stage over the years. And if you can't get to the Festival in person, our Zone bring you the ideal opportunity to share in the cultural feast that's on offer.
