MacAulay and Co live in Edinburgh 20 Aug
Final day at the EICC for both MacAulay and Co and The Festival Cafe, and I'm back with them again for a third, bonus day, of photographic duties. Before I show you who was on with Fred and Susan today however, I need to thank whichever Festival Cafe runner mentioned in an earlier blog how good the EICC muffins were - she was right, the toffee and banana muffin is to die for, although I don't think the keyboard of my laptop is quite so enthusiastic about my sticky fingers! That, plus James Taylor's greatest hits playing in the background has made editing this morning's photo a pleasant experience!
Anyway, back to Fred... a stellar line-up of guests for today's show, including some who couldn't be heard on Monday when the fire alarm brought a sudden end to the live broadcast (if not the live show). There was a record-breaking audience of 367 packed into the room with a few having to stand at the back. There was even talk about how the show might have to move to the larger room next year as it's proved so successful.
There were three Fringe debut performers - whose entire show is comprised of one-liners, and a former street performer now turned stand-up.
Joining them were one of my favourites, , also Australian , , and 's . Music came from the improvised musical comedy quartet Showstopper.
