MacAulay and Co. Audience

MacAulay and Co. Audience

Today got off to an even better start than yesterday because not only did we have a fantastic line up of comedic talent on the show (again), but the sun appeared for the full day! This brought the crowds in very early as they were eying up the sun loungers to soak it up, an opportunity not to be missed in Scotland.

Getting back to the show and if it was warm outside it was even hotter inside, not because of the lights but the great guests we had on! The show started on a high note with a great musical/comedic performance by Adam Kay, which included telling the audience tea making tips to the tune of Lady Gaga's Poker Face, as well as the truth about student funding. Following on from Adam we also had performances from the super Celia Pacquola and Elis James.

The second half of the show continued on the great form of the first half with Stuart Goldsmith bringing lots of laughter and education. (How.....you ask??) By telling the audience about the seduction of women and even some helpful advice for the female listeners on how to stop a terrible pick-up line before the cringe worthy punch line! He was followed by the fantastic sketch trio 'The Ginge, the Geordie & the Geek' who demonstrated why they have a Ö÷²¥´óÐã Pilot show in the pipeline. If it was getting too hot in the Ö÷²¥´óÐã tent then Hannibal Buress brought the coolness that was needed. The comedian from America delivered another great performance for the crowd and even managed to evade the backstage staff for a period of time, which is something James Bond couldn't do so he must be cool!

The finale of the show was not so much a battle as a coming together of comedy giants with Fred and Susan hosting the brilliant Jason Byrne, Dylan Moran and Tom Stade. They all told the audience about their upcoming performances at the Fringe and the great stuff they have been doing, including Dylan's performance in Russia, how Tom Stade's children are part of his PR team and Jason's prop list that include 4 hula-hoops (Dylan was shocked it was not a full pack!).

To top it all off we even found out that Fred used to throw some shapes while listening to his favourite dance song........................ Can you guess what it was...............Tainted Love!!!
