Fronted by main man Louis Abbott, Admiral Fallow craft folky indie music with powerful emotional force.

Next week is sure to be a big moment for the Glasgow-based band as they support Frightened Rabbit in two sellout Barrowlands shows.

Electronic music legends Leftfield followed in the footsteps of contemporaries Orbital and came out of retirement to relaunch their live set at the RockNess festival on the banks of Loch Ness in the summer.

This weekend sees them play at the Barrowlands and the Academy in Glasgow and to give you a taster of what to expect, we've dug out the exclusive video footage from RockNess.

I'm home from the Ö÷²¥´óÐãSSO tour to Germany and Austria and this blog is more of a memory than a day by day account from the places we visited because I didn't take my laptop with me. Laptops on tour just add another layer of stress and keypads on iphones are just too small for my fingers to write anything of length.

Manze Conducts Brahms' Fourth Symphony

made his debut as the Ö÷²¥´óÐã SSO's new Associate Guest Conductor at City Halls last night with an excellent programme that included a world premiere from Scottish composer and G major Piano Concerto. The climax to the concert was a wonderful performance of Brahms' Fourth Symphony. We filmed the symphony in its entirety and you can watch the results below.

Since an epic performance at the Hydro Connect Festival in 2008, Edinburgh's Broken Records have gone from strength to strength. The band signed to 4AD shortly after that performance and released one of 2009's finest albums in Until The Earth Begins To Part. Today's Friday Find catches them in fine form live on The Vic Galloway Show on Ö÷²¥´óÐã Radio Scotland.

With second album Let Me Come Ö÷²¥´óÐã released just a few weeks ago, the band dropped in to showcase some of their new material and first in line was lead single A Darkness Rises Up.

On 4 November the Ö÷²¥´óÐã SSO's new Associate Guest Conductor makes his debut in the role with a cracking concert featuring music by Brahms and Mozart, and a world premiere by Scottish composer .
