It's a given that Vic Galloway has been responsible for introducing many of the biggest names in Scottish music to the airwaves...Biffy Clyro, Franz Ferdinand, Frightened Rabbit...all got their first plays on his show.
A veritable galaxy of Scottish music scene people turned out for a stonker of a Christmas party in Studio One, as Vic said a fond fairwell to his Radio 1 slot.

Swedish trio made their Celtic Connections debut back in 2009 and dropped in on Archie Fisher's Travelling Folk for a special edition of the show, live from the foyer at Ö÷²¥´óÐã Scotland's Pacific Quay headquarters.
Pigeonholing their output proves a tricky task with the band themselves using tags such as "killbilly", "banjo punk" and "mud-country". We'll let this clip of the Bondesson sisters in action help you make your own mind up.

Selkirk band Frightened Rabbit will battle through the snow this weekend for two sell-out shows at the Glasgow Barrowlands.
Back at RockNess in 2009, Scott from the band stepped inside our wee camper van armed only with an acoustic guitar. The short session included some exclusive tracks that would later feature on their third album The Winter of Mixed Drinks.
