Week 24 is officially on iPlayer!

Oh my goodness, it's been so long since I wrote a Cut iPlayer update my fingers weren't entirely sure what they were doing and started to do some mad keyboard cancan dance. Really.

But yes, people! The Cut is back and it's back with a bang. So put your feet up, have a bourbon or two (three's pushing it) and enjoy the episode in it's 25 minute glory again and again and again...

Byebye weekend. Hello square eyes.

And weird dancing fingers.

PS. You can also re-watch The Cut audition episodes on iPlayer now! To find out which of our boys got their part through the open auditions click here, and for the girls, it's this-a-way...

Has anyone else noticed that the only characters who have appeared in every single episode of The Cut are Marla, Olive and Toni? Even Stephen missed one earlier this series...

    (That's full-length, not five-minute)

  • Comment number 2.

I didn't notice until you mentioned it but thats probably because all the drama seems to involve them mainly :')

  • Comment number 3.

Well, I only noticed because in addition to the character descriptions on Wikipedia, I've added in which episodes each character has appeared in... :)

I wish we could see more of Marla. The only storyline she's really had this series (not including the minor one with Cameron) is a love-hate relationship with Elliott - and entertaining though that is, she's such a fascinating character to explore and Lara is an amazing actress. I mean, though she's been in every episode, if she got as much screen time as Olive...

  • Comment number 4.

Ok, I was thinking ... bear with me cause this might take a while.

It was mentioned that Tommy had a relationship with Marla but we never really got to know about that and then she was hesitant to have a relationship with Jay and Elliot. Have we ever thought that it has something to do with tommy and thats why she was like depressive at the beginning of the series 1.

I just wondered what anyone else thought?

They mentioned that Tommy really messed with Marla's head, and I think thats was probably one of the reasons why Stephen didn't want Olive going out with him coz he didn't want Olive to get messed around by Tommy, they didn't go into too much detail though, but i reckon that Tommy messing Marla around caused her to self harm a bit, coz they mentioned she used to do that during series 1.

I'd like to see more from Marla's character as well, why exactly she used to do that, because it would give Marla alot more depth as a character.

  • Comment number 6.

Mmm... I think it would be interesting to see exactly what happened between Marla and Tommy. I think Tommy did learn something as well, because he did seem like a really nice guy when he was dating Olive. Plus I think it's likely that Tommy and Alex have both suffered abuse, because they're both really troubled characters and their dad is a nasty piece of work.

And in the first episode Marla was looking at fresh cuts on her stomach in the toilet at school - she obviously went back to her old ways after Jay left. Poor Marla...

Oh and MusicGirl320, how is your campaign going?

  • Comment number 8.

Ok, Sent a letter got no reply at the moment but I live quite a while away from london and I only sent it about 3 days ago after having second thoughts and adding stuff in.

  • Comment number 9.

Knowing the Ö÷²¥´óÐã, I bet you'll get an automated reply. (Sorry for the pessimism, I'm not usually like this, it just seems quite likely.)

  • Comment number 10.

Yeah I'm not expecting anything amazing but I am not too sure what to do. Any Ideas?

  • Comment number 11.

Well, if the Ö÷²¥´óÐã do decide to axe it and refuse to change their minds, we could see if we can move it to another channel.

  • Comment number 12.

My sister said that we should raise money to buy the rights!? I thought that wasw a bit kookie.

  • Comment number 13.

Now that's an idea... does your sister post on this blog? If not, get her to make an account and join us, she might be a very highly valued addition to our little team...

  • Comment number 14.

My sisters not into the cut! She refuses to watch it - I'm hoping she got into but but no luck! She watched the 1st and 2nd week of series 1 and no addiction like with me! Haha. She thinks it's quite sad i spend half my life posting on here.

  • Comment number 15.

She doesn't have to WATCH it (although obvs it's better if she does lol)... but if she knows how it works, she could give us ideas...

And I spend all my time on here as well! I'm not sad! Even though I'm such a geek I actually edit Wikipedia

  • Comment number 16.

NO!! That can`t be true about Tommy! He`s is a really kind hearted lad, and SOOO cute:) Anyway, Tommy wasn`t in The Cut from Series One! But, I agree with George, Alex and Tommy may have suffered abuse from their...DAD:0-He is really quite stern. Unless Marla had influence of drugs...

  • Comment number 17.

She said that we had to contact the Ö÷²¥´óÐã and see if it would be possible to buy the rights. Then we somehow have to get the writters to keep writing and the actors to keep acting?

  • Comment number 18.

Actually Tommy was in The Cut from Series 1, just not the start of it. He first appeared in Episode 9. Actually he was mentioned a long time before that in Episode 3. When Marla had just come home after being locked in that room with Jay, Stephen said, "How many boyfriends have you actually had?" and she thought and said, "Tommy," and Stephen said, "Look how that turned out." At which point Marla said one of her best lines ever, "Well, at least he was my age!"

MusicGirl320, buying the rights sounds like such a good idea! The writers and actors is a problem though, we'll need some kind of fund. If we can't keep the writers, we could always write scripts ourselves... doesn't help with the actors though...

  • Comment number 19.

Well george we always wanted to be writers :)

  • Comment number 20.

Well yeah, obviously, I would love to write The Cut. But we are talking about writing for no wage, non-stop, good enough quality for the Ö÷²¥´óÐã.

Can anyone think of any ideas on how we can fund this, if it comes to it?

  • Comment number 21.

Well for the Ö÷²¥´óÐã to make money to keep the cut going, they should bring out a DVD release, although thats something we can't really do to raise money, but if the Ö÷²¥´óÐã was interested in keeping it, they probably would do something like that.

  • Comment number 22.

The big problem is that it's not going to get a DVD release until it gets really popular, and it's not going to get popular until it gets a DVD release, so either way...

  • Comment number 23.

I think we all need a petition or something :)

  • Comment number 24.

petitioning would be a good start
