Thats's sooo sad, poor Olive, poor toni, everyone was crying i cried too im such a wimp

    Okay, my thoughts:

Disappointed there was no new title sequence, I was hoping for a new one because this one still has Olive and Amy.

The rest of it was pretty good. Good to hear from someone else's perspective. Is that American girl going to turn out to be the blonde girl in the banner, I wonder?

  • Comment number 3.

A few things. Firstly, why is Olive still in the title screen? Secondly, why the heck were Marla, Catherine, and Elliot at Olive's funeral? Catherine and Elliot never even spoke to Olive, and Marla hated her... Also, I bet that girl on the site who no one can recognise is Steven and Marla's cousin, and finally, poor Alex... you can see how he's gonna be feeling because of this now...

errr well .... f i have to just day that american girl wrecked it for me, i don't know why but she just annoyed me ... i hope everyone isn't going to blame Alex as it wasn't hisault at all ! Hopefully next episode will be more cheerful !

  • Comment number 5.

who was that girl with the american accent ??

  • Comment number 6.

So sad! i had tears in my eyes the whole time watching it D:
I think the girl speaking in the episode is the girl that is on the layout on the website which they haven't introduced us to her yet.
she said something about being stephen's cousin and uncle mack so she must be realted to the mackinons.

  • Comment number 7.

Aww poor toni. As soon as i saw frankie's face that set me off with loads of tears. I think the blonde girl at the top is the person who was narrating this episode. Wow what a way to start of series 3 and i wonder where Alex was.

  • Comment number 8.

I reckon shes a Mackinon. Kinda ruined it, a little bit, because she wasnt really anything to do with it, and it was all scathing remarks. Although I guess it was nice to have someone to sum it all up, but its not really needed! Maybe they wanted to introduce her without showing her, so we'd all wonder who she is.
Catherine spoke to Olive at the Cafe, and shes with Cam.
I think they'll change the title sequence for tomorrow.. because most shows like to start if off with the old one.
It was really sad though, I love the moody tone.
I guess Alex isnt very popular then..

    Sorry! Essay over...

I HAVE NO WORDS! This was just so amazing..
    And beautiful.

  • Comment number 10.

OMG,, I cried :'( Pooor Toni D: Amazing.

What's with the title sequence ?!

  • Comment number 11.

Sophy, I don't think they'll change it tomorrow, they didn't do that last series. Plus if they did that, what would they do about the full-length Saturday episode?

  • Comment number 12.

Pinkiecharm - I totally started crying there too :(

  • Comment number 13.

It was a good way to open it I thought, I believe that this girl is wise. and I like her and I don't know why but hey, never judge a book by it's cover.

Did anyone see alex at the funeral!?

  • Comment number 14.

MusicGirl320, I was just wondering where he was! Maybe he felt ashamed to go because if it wasn't for him, Olive wouldn't have fallen?

  • Comment number 15.

    What?
    Where is my Alex?

  • Comment number 16.

Tears.. thats all i can say

  • Comment number 17.

yeah, bit disappointed with the title sequence. Wanted to KILL this girl when she said, "some girl threw herself off a building" NO she didn't!!! Yeah alex a no-show, did he die too?? Love how nobody spoke except for this american girl :) Spent all day going "OMG THE CUT Later!!!!!"

  • Comment number 18.

I agree with Sandee, I want to see if Alex is OK

  • Comment number 19.

Wow... I was totally speechles =.=
About Stephen's American cousin, I thought she really helped with the mood of the episode although I couldn't really understand her at times, it was a different perspective and a good change too. :)

  • Comment number 20.

That american girl is the Mackinnon's cousin, she refers to Stephen as her cousin.
I think she will be the blonde girl from the banner.

  • Comment number 21.

I could say a lot about this episode, but I'm just going to boil it down to something simple - the cinematography of this particular ep. was pure brilliance

  • Comment number 22.

So sad :( I cried almost the whole time. I'm really gonna miss Olive.

And I think Alex wasn't at the funeral, because of course someone's gonna blame him. I'm not saying it's his fault, but his actions caused the whole thing. Maybe he's ashamed, but I'm sure he wanted to go to the funeral. Maybe other people said that it's wiser to stay away. Seeing him there could be too much to some people...

  • Comment number 23.

This episode was really sad but i must admit the american accent girl (mackinnons cousin) kind of ruined it, but it was very different to the regular voice over's that they do so that was alright.
I was expecting them to show alex in it, even if he was too ashamed to go to the funeral, they should of shown him being like really sad about whats happened or something. That would of been good. But thats just my opinion :/

  • Comment number 24.

Don't worry guys,I'm pretty sure that Alex will turn up to the funeral. At least it looks like he does in the promo. It appears he does on his own which is more fitting in my opinion.

  • Comment number 25.

I reckon Alex won't play much of a role in the first few episodes, and then there'll be a whole episode about him being really depressed.

And I think Stephen would be the only person who blamed him. I will miss Billie, but not Olive, the character got on my nerves a bit.

  • Comment number 26.

oh my gosh. For like the last three weeks it's been OMG THE CUT SOON! I was a bit disappointed about the opening sequence, but other than that it was just alex's no-show that bugged me to be honest. I don't know why the american girl blamed alex, I mean, it was actually stephen and tommy that caused her to fall. I don't see anybody blaming them. I must admit I teared up when I saw Frankie.

  • Comment number 27.

I think alex didn't turn up because he wasn't really invited cause firstly he was kinda the cause of all this and some people are angry with him.
I think even though olive's gone the whole series 3 is going to somehow based
round her and how all the other characters React and how they move on with their life's especially cam and Frankie,Stephen,Toni
watching the cut without olive is really weird. D:

  • Comment number 28.

I'm really sorry, but the accent ruined this for me! It doesn't feel right to have a character with no attachment or knowledge of Olive to give the commentary on her funeral.

  • Comment number 29.

yh, that commentary just didn't feel right compared to last two seasons.

  • Comment number 30.

I'd just be interested to know: was it the girl's commentary in general people didn't like, or the fact that she's American?

I actually quite liked it. I think it's there to show the perspective of an outsider. And of course Olive didn't jump off, but the fact that the girl thinks that just goes to show what kind of rumours there are. And where was Rosa at the funeral? I thought she and Olive were friends

  • Comment number 31.

I didnt like it, well actually I like it but.. its just that she made some scathing remarks and stuff, not that shes American. Well realistically, it was a nice touch, showing what people thought at what she thought, bringing in a new character with their ideas first, face later. I liked that she explained about Amy and Jay and everything, it was a nice touch to bring up everything that happened in a kind of sum up the perspective kinda way..

Hopefully they change the title sequence.
George - I was just thinking that maybe it was because the new people haven't actually been shown yet and this was just finishing series 2... hopefully anyway.

Sorry.. I really type tooo much!

  • Comment number 32.

I like the bit with Cam but is it me or did Toni glare at him?

  • Comment number 33.

I liked how tragic it all was, made more moving by the main characters not speaking. Think it could have just been done with a beautiful piece of music but didnt mind the idea of a voice over by a new character, it is an interesting way to introduce someone, except for the american accent, half expected 'you know you love me, xoxo' at the end

  • Comment number 34.

i thought the way it was filmed was excellent. i really felt for stephen and im glad that mack was there to help toni with it all. what confused me about the commentary was when she was speaking of 'auntie amy' and jay leaving, she said "so now marla is all alone" but then it showed elliott in the shot stood next to marla, so shes not really alone. if it was just music it would have been nice, but a little plain and i thought it was interesting to have an outsiders opinion on the events. bit gutted about no new title sequence, i would have thought if they changed the pictures on the website they would have got a opening but who knows, maybe when more new characters are introduced they'll show it. i didnt expect alex to be at the funeral but i thought it was cute tommy was. phew finally finshed :)
