Jeez Louise! That was a strange episode! I'm confuzzled, Alex??? Why is he pretending to be something he clearly isn't? Jack! Stop being nice to Frankie? Well I mean leave her alone. Rosa Aww. Noah even more Aww . . . . No Luke? Sorry Cam! The girl Alex is hanging out with is an idiot. Marla and Elliot I felt really sorry for this ep. Mack is soooo annoying. Taylor is sooo blatantly using the whole family thing for sympathy and the sympathy for Ryan. Watch out Ruby. Poor Greg. Okay I'm going to shut up now ;)

Who wants to remind the writers that they made Alex gay?

The 'beeb' is playing a risky game here, they tried to push the envelope by writing in a character that is gay, and also, them being a seemingly heterosexual character, which, of course, is highly commendable.
But there stands that possibility that if they just ignore the fact that Alex is gay and switch him back to being heterosexual, they could offend a great deal of people.
Alex seems to able to decide to be straight in the park or gay in the street (referring to the scene where he kisses Stephan). This suggests that homosexuality is choice or a lifestyle, that people can, seemingly, opt in and out of, which if of course, completely wrong.
You could argue that Alex is in the process of trying to discover his sexuality, but there has been hardly character development to show this.
Unless the writers are going to deal with this is some way or form, there may be some trouble. Considering the young demographic, this seems to send the entirely wrong message.

It would be a shame for the writers and the Ö÷²¥´óÐã to back down and let Alex decide that he is heterosexual, but in the process, unless they either a) revert Alex back to being gay, or b) portray a bit more character development to let us understand what is happening, it could be said that the whole storyline is being dealt with in a very insensitive way.

I think Alex kissed her because he HADN'T ever kissed a girl before. So, when she asked if he had, he felt ashamed and decided he kinda should kiss a girl. I don't know, but I'm still sure he's gay (or at least bi?) and I think it will be interesting to see where things go from here...

Does anyone else think Stephen will come back soon? Just to help Marla and stuff. Maybe it's wishful thinking, but for a while now I've been guessing he'll return :)

TheCut - Jack just feels he needs to make it up to Frankie, I guess. Wonder when he'll tell her? And The Cut is actually stopping on December 18, but there are no GUARANTEES that this will be the last season, it just depends if the Ö÷²¥´óÐã decide to continue making it.

Sam R - I quite like what they're doing with Alex. I think he is definitely gay, but he's been in the closet all his life. Coming out to everyone is really hard, and he snapped once with Stephen, but I think his problems are far from over and he still can't admit his sexuality to himself or anyone.

TinGirl - Alex actually has kissed a girl before. In Series 2 he blackmails Rosa into kissing him at a party.

Oh, and I felt so sorry for Elliott! I don't like that horrible coach.

Now Elliot has been dropped from the swimming team he won't be able to earn competition earnings. How is he going to find a place for him and Marla to stay? Also, I'm pretty curious about why Marla can't just stay at Elliot's house.

I guess Alex just kissed Kylie to try and prove to himself that he's "normal" and that he isn't gay and can kiss girls. He was bullied a lot for his sexuality which is also probably why.

@ TinGirl I really hope Stephen does come back soon!

I get the feeling (seeing as we've only seen Mack's reaction) that Elliott hasn't told his parents about the baby yet. That's the only reason I can think of why Marla can't stay there - although I can't see why telling them is an issue, they'll find out soon enough anyway.

haha lovin the way they all hook up in the park really close to each other, and I really don't like Alex kissing her when he obviously doesn't like her, Noah is so cute when he walks into the sign... :)

I agree with tagiatelli, alex is probably trying to prove that he can kiss and be liked by girls. Also there is also the possibility that Stephen is the only boy he actually liked, I mean there hasn't been any obvious attraction to other boys has there? I think he was being nice to Jack perhaps because he was grateful for a place to stay and that he liked him as a friend. I dunno but that's just my view lol. Oh and eughh that girl he kisses is awful!

Noah is just too cute :) Rosa was rly nice to him too but when she took his glasses off I was like 'Yh, he looks rly cute without them but surely now... he can't see very well??' lol :P

I kind of like the Frankie/ Jack situation, but perhaps he is just being nice to her to ease the shock if alex does tell her..?

Lol at noah (soo cute) when he smiled. I think alex just wants to fit in with the crowd again.. and make friends. Taylor should stop trying to make ryan hathway like her i mean she really makes trouble for herself a lot of the time.

It was a nice gesture for jack to take frankie out to eat. Oh and i really liked the whole music vibe used in this episode :D

I genuinely love the uproar about Alex's straight kiss. It's nice to see that people are sticking up for gays. But I do think that Alex will turn out to be gay. It's all peer pressure. I did it when I was coming out, and most of my gay friends did. You just don't want people to find out in case they treat you different for it. He'll work it out eventually.
But I'm serious, can we have an episode which isn't depressing for once please?

And George, does Torie's name actually have anything to do with The Cut? I think we could all do without this turning into a political forum eh?

Aw damn, I would sooo love to join the whole Alex's sexual orientation conversation and say mean things about the new girl... but since I can't watch the eps anymore, I can only say that I definitely think Alex is gay (based on the eps I saw before the evil video blockage). I just know these things. Magical powah.
