Orange?

I like the way you've used the font on 'Magazine' and the colour to give the site a nice seventies vibe to go with the credit-crunch and allude to the potential need to go to the IMF, slash public spending and put up taxes.

Any chance of the Osmonds and Boney M calling in ?

The new layout isn't bad. I'm one of those luddites who prefers to avoid change at all costs, but I can work with what you've given me.

But that orange! First thing in the morning, it's a weeeee bit bright. Cool, calming blue was so soothing with my morning cuppa!

The layout is good but the orange colour scheme is awful!

Spain and France may have fashionable first ladies, but the Magazine's new look is equally stunning in its bold new orange, grey and white colour scheme and arrangement.

As we're going to enjoy the return of the LBQ, sorry WBQ, can we also expect to see a reprieve for Punorama?

The wider screen and the 'tighter' layout are very nice indeed! But the orange, oooh, it makes me wince!

Still, I can just bookmark /blogs/magazinemonitor/ and skip the migraine.

I absolutely adore the orange! Exactly what the Magazine section needs. It's all about brightening up a dull work day after all.

@Jordan D - How is this an epic fail? They've updated the design, added new features and made it easier to navigate. I can't see what constitutes a fail unless you're more of a luddite than dragonsp admits to being.

I don’t think the Ö÷²¥´óÐã should be running a magazine. It should be totally impartial. The last thing we want is yet more personality oozing from the Ö÷²¥´óÐã when it should be a messenger of factual news – not its own opinions.

It's #epicfail because it looks like Sainsbury have come in and redone the drapes.

The white heading text - particularly smaller headings - is difficult to read against some of the orange fades, a darker colour, maybe a burnt orange etc. would stand out far better.

Layout looks fine now its widescreen.

Orange - disgusting. Site looks a bit busy - not sure where to look for things - can't find letters or papers page. No doubt as soon as I have got used to it and can easily navigate my way round, you'll change it.

Ooops, failed to take note of the new tequila outfit any earlier. Blame Google Reader. It's rid every shiny orange bit of the site feeds and made Magazine dress in dowdy blue.

I like orange; it brightens up the day, and I think the layout is easier than before.
KennethM- don't like it don't read it; the Ö÷²¥´óÐã is not forcing you to read its magazine (like Sunday papers with supplements- you can just dispose of the magazine in an [hopefully] environmentally conscious way)

The orange is too bright and distracts from the content. It's too hard to read the text with the bright orange.
