Dean Murray from Biscuithead & The Biscuit Badgers with Tom
With this morning's date being 11 September 2011, we played tracks by three independent artists from The Big Apple in celebration of that New York City's capacity for joy, playfulness and wild nonconformity - and its indomitable spirit. And talking of playfulness, our guest was Dean Murray - frontman and ukulele player with the Leeds quartet Biscuithead & The Biscuit Badgers, whose album The Greatest Show On Toast comes out next week.

Our session tracks came hot off the digital recorders at Maida Vale, courtesy of Huw Stephens at Radio 1, and featured our mutual friends Vinyl Jacket. And the ever-reliable Andrew Marston from Ö÷²¥´óÐã Introducing in Hereford and Worcester gave us a sneak preview from the brand new album by Muchuu in Introducing Roulette.
