An exciting new season of drama begins on Sunday on Ö÷²¥´óÐã Radio Cymru.

Listeners can expect to hear specially commissioned original works, plays by new young writers and an adaptation of controversial Welsh tragedy Blink by playwright Ian Rowlands.

The station kicks off with Pic n Mics, a play written by Anglesey author Mared Lewis about the closing down of a long established shop in Bangor, and stars Mari Emlyn as the protagonist.

Other writers involved in the season include Geraint Lewis, Marlyn Samuel and Ceri Elen, while the winners of the drama competition in last year's Urdd Eisteddfod youth festival will also have their work broadcast.

Listen to Pic n Mics at 2pm on Sunday 7 February on Ö÷²¥´óÐã Radio Cymru.
