This week's Ö÷²¥´óÐã Radio Wales Arts Show features Malcolm Pryce, author of the popular and decidedly quirky series of crime fiction/noir detective novels based in Aberystwyth.

Nicola Heywood Thomas talks to the author (who was born in Shrewsbury and educated in Aberystwyth) about his novels, two of which have recently been dramatised for radio and are currently being broadcast on Ö÷²¥´óÐã Radio Wales.

Pryce's debut novel Aberystwyth Mon Amour was published in 2001 to great acclaim. The novel, and the series that was to follow, combine fantasy and black humour in a Welsh world of noir with the leading character - private detective Louie Knight - at the heart of each novel.

Pryce followed his first novel with Last Tango In Aberystwyth, and it is these two that have recently been adapted for radio.

You can listen to all three episodes of Aberystwyth Mon Amour on Ö÷²¥´óÐã iPlayer up until Sunday morning, while the second episode of Last Tango is on this morning at 11.30am and will also be available on iPlayer.

Learn more about the author by reading his profile and tune in to the Arts Show tonight from 6.30pm.
