Ö÷²¥´óÐã

It was all going so well... then for the American market there is over 5 minutes of spoiler (for Brits) and 'reason to watch - in this season' for the target American audience. So, the target US viewers need to see most of the series condensed into 5 minutes for what? in case they forget what they are watching and why? In case their attention span is too short? It is clear to see where the money is expected to come from - make the series largely there and then dumb it down. Do we every episode have to switch off now when the warning word 'In this Season' flash up?
Other than that it was great, well paced, interesting plot development and a potentially excellent story ark. I hope this trend of 'Telly-Tuby' TV is not to increase in Torchwood as it has in so many other programms: - repeat the reason for the program and summarise what just happened and what you will see next and do so every few minutes.

What a load of cr*p. Another series destroyed for the American market. Dumbed down. Rambo-ised. Kill it now before it turns into late 1980s Doctor Who and takes away another of our great BRITISH TV series. SHAME ON YOU Ö÷²¥´óÐã.

Liked the start....and then it went downhill from there. It felt more like a bizarre episode of ER meets some CIA spoof. What was with the open top Jeep on the beach in Wales, the old car was much better. The British bashing also got tiring towards the end, not that it was particularly funny to begin with. I very much disliked the whole ending with yet again another show showing Americans doing what they want and everyone has to do as they say. I have to agree with MAB's comment above. Having now seen the trailer/spoiler at the end of the episode I now have no need to watch the rest of the series. If anything I could have done with a 30 sec recap of the last series at the start. Compared to the last series, I think it was a let down.

I loved Torchwood - previously. Their Children of Earth mini series was brilliant, and the loss of so many characters at the time was, I thought, the end of the story. I was looking forward to the new episodes, and watched with interest - initially - until I figured that the show is now targeted at middle America (mostly, although what the bible belt will think of Captain Jack's next relationship, with on-screen kissing, is beyond me). Then, the final insult, of far too much 'preview', for 'This Season'. Sorry, Ö÷²¥´óÐã, it's not a season in the UK, it's a series. Obvious where the money's coming from, and a bit of a sellout I feel.

As other people have said i loved Torchwood Previously, but whats happened Ö÷²¥´óÐã.
this series has be totally Americanised. I feel like its purly for the American market. Yet another programme taken away from the British audience for more profit in America.

Shame on you Ö÷²¥´óÐã.
