To celebrate departing guitarist Darran Smith's time in Funeral For A Friend, the band will be playing two shows, one in London and one in Cardiff, at which they'll be playing their breakthrough début album in its entirety.

Funeral For A Friend in 2003

Casually Dressed And Deep In Conversation was released in 2003 and propelled the band to stardom. They will play the album at Cardiff University on 22 July and London's O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire the following night.

Drummer Ryan Richards says, "As sad as we are to see Darran leave, these shows will be guaranteed to give him a great send off. We played Casually Dressed... in its entirety when we toured it back in 2003/4 and never really planned to do that again, but obviously with it being Darran's last shows it seems like a perfect opportunity to play the record for the final time.

Darran says, "I'm really excited about these shows, it's going to be great playing the whole of Casually Dressed... plus they're gonna be some of my last shows with Funeral and I'll be going out with a bang!'"

Darran is leaving the band after this year's Sonisphere Festival to concentrate on family life, while FFAF are reshuffling the ranks in time for the release of album number five. Current bassist Gavin Burroughs is moving to guitar, whilst Ex-Hondo Maclean/The Future bassist Richard Boucher has joined on bass.
