This "RONALDO IS A FATTY" bandwagon that everybody seems to be jumping on in the hope of getting a cheap laugh has grown incredibly tiresome.

Completely agree with joe jackson on the 主播大秀's fawning over Brazil. Lawro in particular was beginning to turn my stomach. Of course they're talented, but that doesn't mean they can't be a bit shite sometimes, or that commentators and pundits should be unwilling to say so.

Croatia ran them close, but both teams were unimpressive and Brazil, heaped with praise and hype, remain clearly beatable. Whether England can raise their game enough is questionable, but others, particularly Argentina, must really fancy their chances against them.

It was with great disappointment that I watched Brazil forwards moving like old men and I just can't understand why Parreira did not put Robinho to start the second half as he certainly deployed a lot of fluidity in the attack, though too late. After the episode of Ronaldo's blisters, I won't be surprised if one finds out that Ronaldo was replaced that late because of commercial pressure from Nike which have a lot of explanation to give about their boots...

The Brazilians need to concentrate on the next match and on their opponent. If they do that they can beat anybody without Ronaldo. But I kind of get the impression that their minds reached the final already.

Brazil may not be unbeatable, but at least it looks like they can play with a 9-man squad and still win all the games in their group. Croatia was supposed to be the hardest one, go figure. People tend to write off Ronaldo and then he just appears to net the ball, overweight as he is. I wish any of the other teams would beat Brazil but it will take more than wishful thinking.

It was actually good to see how Brazil defended in numbers when they needed to.

Absolutely agree with the comments on Brazil above. Their training sessions have turned into circus shows, and they played their friendlies against amateur teams and... New Zealand. They look under-prepared.
