Sumena's view

Being chosen to do the 主播大秀 School Report was quite a shock for me and being given the role of presenter along with Jess made me incredibly nervous! I鈥檓 not usually the sort of person that likes to get involved with these kinds of activities, but I think that I have benefited a lot from this event. It has taught me many skills and has been really fun, even though sometimes it was hectic meeting deadlines and arranging footage.

It was an amazing experience and in the end I鈥檓 extremely glad to have accepted the opportunity and taken part. It鈥檚 definitely helped me and it allowed me to experience what being a real journalist is like. Having a career in journalism has never really crossed my mind, but having taken part in 主播大秀 School Report let me open my mind up to all sorts of things.

It amazes me how journalists cope with the pressure and knowing that there are always possibilities of messing up in a live report. I also found out that everybody plays an important part. Even though when you get things wrong it may be really funny you must stay serious and carry on during a report.

Jessica's story

When I was first informed of the 主播大秀 School Report I leapt at the opportunity due to wanting to be a journalist when I leave school! I must admit in stages of making my story I wanted听to give up or quit, but my advice to anyone who may take part in something like this in the future would be just keep going, never give up, and meet your deadline!

The most nerve-racking part for me turned out to be the real count down from 10. I think the only mistake I made was, I said "of鈥� instead of 鈥渇or鈥� at the start of the report, but I don鈥檛 think it was too noticeable! The most memorable time of the whole report was when Anna, one of my partners, and I went to get some students whilst we left Alex in the hall. When we looked back on the video camera we discovered that Alex had made up his own little dance routine and was pretending to talk to an imaginary student!

To be part of this project was just incredible. If an opportunity like this came along again, I would definitely rise to the challenge and make sure I was part of this wonderful production once again.听听
