Introduction

Former Wimbledon champion Jimmy Connors is the latest recruit to the 主播大秀's television commentary team for the 2005 Wimbledon Championships.
听
He joins the award-winning John McEnroe who returns this year, alongside three-times former champion Boris Becker.
听
This will be Becker's fourth year of commentary for the 主播大秀 and coincides with the 20th anniversary of him becoming the youngest ever player to win Wimbledon, aged 17.
听
Tracy Austin also returns for a third year behind the microphone.
听
Mixed-doubles winner with brother John at the 1980 Wimbledon Championships, Tracy also won the US Open twice (1979 and 1981).
听
With live and exclusive coverage on 主播大秀 ONE and 主播大秀 TWO, 主播大秀 Radio Five Live, interactive through 主播大秀i, and bbc.co.uk/sport, you can follow all the action from SW19 wherever you are from 20 June to 3 July.

Television output is enhanced this year with an increase in the number of show courts covered by 主播大秀 cameras from eight to nine.

Once again, Sue Barker will present the 主播大秀's live coverage from the All England Club, with John Inverdale fronting the nightly highlights programme, Today at Wimbledon.

Former Champions John Lloyd and Virginia Wade will also be back with the 主播大秀 for 2005.

John Barrett, David Mercer, Barry Davies, Bill Threllfall, Simon Reed and Matt Chilton will also be back in action in the commentary box.

主播大秀 coverage of Wimbledon will feature the use of Hawk-Eye, for the third year.

The unique ball tracking system gives viewers in-depth analysis of the intricacies of a players' game, and is used by the commentators and studio team to highlight patterns of play as well as analysing line calls.

Hawk-Eye will be used on Centre Court and Number One Court to give viewers a full breakdown of the patterns of play, enhancing television coverage of the Championships.

A huge success over the last five years, the interactive TV service 主播大秀i will be once again offering digital viewers a whole host of extra features.

Digital satellite and cable viewers have the chance to choose live action from up to five courts of play, and digital terrestrial viewers have access to two extra courts, plus all the latest news, scores and results.

主播大秀 Radio Five Live has live coverage every day from SW19 with extra court action on Five Live Sports Extra.

Simon Mayo and Clare Balding reunite to present the daily coverage whilst Jonathan Overend heads up the experienced commentary team and is joined by expert analysts including former Wimbledon champions Michael Stich and Pat Cash.

Des Lynam, who for many was the voice of Wimbledon, makes his return to live radio as he presents his own show every weekday evening from the roof of the broadcast centre at Wimbledon at 7.00pm. 听
