Electric Proms: Kasabian join a night with the 主播大秀 Concert Orchestra... and line-up for Radio 1's Peel Night revealed

The 主播大秀 confirmed today that Kasabian - the rock'n'roll band of 2006 - will fulfil a lifetime ambition at the 主播大秀 Electric Proms - performing live with an orchestra.
听
The band - whose incredible live shows and world-conquering attitude has seen them join Rock's A-List - will take to the stage at the Roundhouse in Camden with the 主播大秀 Concert Orchestra on Saturday 28 October.
听
They will be performing specially commissioned re-workings of tracks from their debut album 'Kasabian' and recent Number One album 'Empire'.
听
The festival, dedicated to creating new moments in music, takes place from 25 to 29 October at the Roundhouse and at satellite venues all over Camden.
听
All of the artists performing at the festival have been challenged to come up with something innovative for their performance that reflects the ambition of the event.
听
Joining them on the bill will be avant-garde Mercury nominees Guillemots, who will also be performing with the 主播大秀 Concert Orchestra.
听
They will be bringing to life the lush orchestral sounds of their debut album 'Through the Windowpane'.
听
The 主播大秀 today also confirmed that Radio 1's Peel Night will take place on Thursday 26 October as part of 主播大秀 Electric Proms at The Electric Ballroom.
听
In true John Peel spirit, the eclectic line up includes garage/punk outfit (and recent NME cover stars) The Horrors and electronic pioneer Squarepusher.
听
There will also be a special headline set from US rock act The Raconteurs featuring Jack White, whose other band The White Stripes was championed by Peel.
听
The Electric Proms will be broadcast across a number of 主播大秀 television and radio networks including 主播大秀 ONE, 主播大秀 TWO, 主播大秀 THREE, Radio 1, Radio 2, Radio 3, 1Xtra, 6 Music, 主播大秀 Asian Network and 主播大秀 World Service.

There will be extensive online coverage, and digital television viewers will be able to enjoy performances on demand at the push of the red button.
