Inspired by the new Andrew Marr series Britain from Above, the 主播大秀 Archive is launching a collection of highlights from over 60 years of broadcasting from the air.

Accessed via , the collection, dating from 1949, includes the test footage of the first attempt at an aerial broadcast in the programme Operation Pegasus and its rather more successful follow up, Television Goes Flying.

There are also sample episodes from the first major TV series to be filmed entirely from the air, Bird's Eye View. Two of these programmes are narrated by the much-loved former Poet Laureate John Betjeman.
