Strictly Come Dancing series seven: It Takes Two, multiplatform and HD

Bruce Forsyth and Tess Daly

Strictly Come Dancing – It Takes Two

Claudia Winkleman returns with Strictly Come Dancing – It Takes Two on Ö÷²¥´óÐã Two weeknights, bringing viewers eager to get their Strictly fix a half-hour show jam-packed with exclusive interviews, backstage gossip and footage from training sessions.

Len Goodman is back with his dance masterclass and celebrity superfans will be invited to give their take on the dances and costumes so far.

If this isn't already enough, former Strictly pro-dancers Camilla Dallerup and Karen Hardy will appear regularly on the show, sharing their expert opinions with the viewers on everything from choreography to costumes, and guest judge Darcey Bussell will be coming in to chat to Claudia about this year's runners and riders.

High Definition and multiplatform viewing

Like last year, this series of Strictly Come Dancing will be filmed in High Definition and simulcast on Ö÷²¥´óÐã One and the Ö÷²¥´óÐã HD channel.

However, this time, with the results now being part of one action-packed show, the viewers will be able to watch the tears and triumphs of the dance-off in High Definition for the first time.

Once again bbc.co.uk/strictly will have up-to-the-minute information on the show alongside message boards, polls and quizzes.

However, this year, an exciting social viewing application will be launched on the site which will allow viewers to watch the live show in real time on their computers and, at the same time, comment as they watch. In addition to this, fans will be able to give their instant reactions to what they are seeing by pressing emotion buttons such as gasp, boo and wow.

If the majority of the people watching press the wow button a giant 'wow' will appear on screen enabling fans to gauge the mood of the rest of the nation watching – impressive stuff! You can even close down the live feed on your computer and play along whilst watching the show on TV. Viewers will be able to watch the show back online whilst seeing these added reactions too.

Other exciting interactive elements to look out for this series include a Strictly Come Dancing Twitter feed, which is live now at twitter.com/bbcstrictly, and the opportunity to get the latest news about the show sent directly to your mobile (text the word STRICTLY to 88822, for full terms and conditions go to bbc.co.uk/strictly).

Episode highlights will also be available on the Ö÷²¥´óÐã YouTube channel.
