In the Barclays Premier League, Stoke and Hull face each other, both having had differing fortunes since they were promoted to the top flight at the end of last season. Middlesbrough and Newcastle meet in the Tyne-Tees derby, while fellow north-easterners Sunderland are at home to Bolton. There is also a full Clydesdale Bank Scottish Premier League programme.

In the Coca-Cola Championship, promotion contenders and local rivals Wolves and Birmingham meet at Molineux. It's also the second round of the FA Cup, sponsored by E.on, with the 128 teams involved knowing that a win will secure them a place in the third-round draw and the chance of a glamour tie with one of the Premier League big guns.

Manish also looks back at the events of the past seven days, which proved a busy time for several Premier League clubs on the European front. It's not often that the Champions League is upstaged by the Uefa Cup, but the midweek visit of AC Milan to Tony Adams's Portsmouth will have attracted plenty of interest.

Wales were comprehensively outclassed by the Wallabies in Cardiff in the World Cup group stages last year but, under Warren Gatland and Shaun Edwards, they have moved up a level, culminating in a Grand Slam triumph in the Six Nations earlier this year. The previous time Wales won the Grand Slam was in 2005 – the following November, they recorded their first win over Australia for 18 years. Can history repeat itself at the Millennium Stadium today?

Has Arthur (Bradley James)
cursed Camelot?

When Arthur kills a unicorn while out on a hunting trip, a curse descends on Camelot, as the magical family drama continues. Could this be the end for the mythic city?

An upset Merlin rushes to the animal's side as the knights cheer Arthur for killing this most highly prized of beasts. As the unicorn dies, Merlin sees a wizened old man watching the scene amongst the trees. Their eyes meet and then he disappears.

The next morning, Arthur and Uther survey a valley in which the crops in the fields below have died overnight. It's the same story all over the kingdom. If they don't do something, the people will starve. When, later that day, the water in Camelot's well turns into sand, Arthur and Uther become desperate – the town is now facing a famine and a drought. Gaius suggests that these events cannot be a coincidence and that a curse has come to Camelot.

That night, Merlin and Arthur are on patrol when they come across a strange man – it's the same person Merlin saw in the forest. He introduces himself as Anhora, the keeper of the unicorns. Anhora tells them Arthur is responsible for the curse, revealing it was unleashed when Arthur killed the unicorn. Arthur doesn't accept this and is angry at the suggestion he is responsible. Before he disappears again, Anhora tells Arthur that he will be tested and, until he has made amends for his actions, Camelot will be damned.

Bradley James plays Arthur, Colin Morgan plays Merlin, Anthony Head plays Uther, Richard Wilson plays Gaius and Frank Finlay plays Anhora. Tonight's episode also stars Angel Coulby as Gwen and Katie McGrath as Morgana.

Adam is forced to confront his past when he has to treat two little boys trapped in a crashed car, in this week's edition of the medical drama. He bonds with the youngest, Joe, but is devastated when he is unable to save Joe's brother or mother.

Adam visits his brother, Alex, a wheelchair user, to assuage the guilt that has plagued him ever since he freed himself, but not his brother, in their own family car crash. Dealing with Joe and his family has brought all the memories flooding back.

Toby, meanwhile, is in a good mood after his night with Ben but is uncomfortable when Ruth lets slip that she saw them in bed together, and denies there is anything going on.

Elsewhere, tensions continue to simmer between Ruth and Jordan – especially when Jordan uses Ruth to cover an error regarding the name of a drug in resus. And Jay and Kelsey play tricks on Big Mac, much to his annoyance.

Stoke and Hull have had differing fortunes since both were promoted to the Premier League at the end of last season – were struggling Stoke able to turn the tables on high-flying Hull at the Britannia Stadium this afternoon?

Speedboat jumps and arguments see the group starting to get on each other's nerves, as the observational documentary series following eight British teens as they embark on San Diego's world-famous junior lifeguard programme, and shown as part of Ö÷²¥´óÐã Switch, continues. The teens are living together for the third week and it's beginning to wear thin on some members.

The wannabe lifeguards experience the thrill of jumping from a moving boat during training, but Emma and Yasmine get a bit carried away that evening when they trash the boys' apartment. Not getting the joke, Jack and Sean feel as if the girls have pushed things a step too far.

Ìý

On the course, the top group of cadets have to step up a level and train as interns for the day, while the intermediate A1 group has the task of practising search and rescue exercises. During the evenings, trips to the zoo, the batting cages and the bowling lanes bring out the competitive sides of the group, and differing opinions start to split friendships.
