Maleficium

The terrifying outcome of suspected witchcraft drawn from actual accounts. Stars Clare Corbett, Siobhan Redmond and Freda Dowie.

Spells, charms and an imagined cursing.

Taking its title from the word for a malicious act of witchcraft, 鈥楳aleficium鈥� draws on actual terrifying accounts of confessions at witch trials, to create voices for three imaginary characters.

Alice, Margery and Jinnet - a farm hand, a farmer's wife and an elderly 鈥榗unning-woman鈥�, are brought to the point of tragedy when two of them accused of witchcraft by the other.
