Phil is unnerved to receive another mysterious photograph from an anonymous source, and turns to Pat when events take a darker turn. Zainab summons the courage to confront Yusef.

Shirley鈥檚 spooked that the front door鈥檚 been open all night and discovers a photograph of a young boy has been taped to the back. Phil maintains it鈥檚 nothing to worry about, Shirley asks around the market who the boy is but has no luck. When Alfie鈥檚 car won鈥檛 start after a service in the Arches, Phil insists Jay drain the petrol tank and discovers a plastic bag containing another photograph of the same boy, now older, and 08/03/94 on the back. Visibly shaken, Phil shows Pat the photograph. Horrified, Pat fetches an old newspaper cutting headlined 鈥楥ar Lot Fire Man Identified鈥� complete with an identical photograph.
Alfie suggests Tyler help the girls reconcile. Tyler coaxes Poppy to talk to Jodie before she leaves but offends her when he suggests they hook up. The girls are forced to talk when Tyler texts Jodie from Poppy鈥檚 mobile. As Jodie packs her cuddly toys - all from Darren - she realises what鈥檚 missing. Later, the boys discover both girls packing; Jodie鈥檚 going to find Darren and Poppy鈥檚 moving back to her mum鈥檚. Anthony鈥檚 furious to discover Tyler came on to Poppy. Jodie leaves Walford, determined to find her man.
Afia鈥檚 alarmed by Yusef and Zainab鈥檚 relationship; according to Islamic law, for Yusef and Zainab to marry would be haram. Yusef apologises to a cowed Zainab for his behaviour the night before, explaining he鈥檚 a passionate man and he loves her. Later, Yusef tells Afia he鈥檚 spoken with an Imam who鈥檚 deemed it permissible for he and Zainab to marry. When Yusef insists Zainab makes him happy, Afia grudgingly gives him her permission.
Jane and Masood try to hide their passion for each other. When Masood tells Jane there鈥檚 no one in the B&B, she quickly heads off after him.
