Dot's conviction about Andrew's guilt wavers in the face of his declaration of undying love for Heather. Derek decides that he can no longer run his empire from Jack's sofa.

Andrew gets filthy looks as he walks through the Square, Winston spits at his feet. After a night spent fasting and praying, Dot’s refreshed. Telling Cora she’s given her anger up to Jesus, Dot’s keen to help Shirley plan Heather’s funeral. Shirley’s upset she can’t choose the right George Michael song. When Andrew picks up his things from Dot’s he immediately knows the right song - ‘You have been loved’. Later, Dot discovers Andrew in the Launderette trying to feel close to Heather. Dot listens as he sobs and declares his life’s over without Heather. Finally convinced of his innocence, Dot defends Andrew to Shirley. Shirley bans them from Heather’s funeral.

Roxy’s delighted to learn Billy and Alfie have fleeced Derek. Derek questions Billy’s whereabouts the night before, Lola vouches they were at a hospital appointment. Chuffed Roxy misunderstands when Alfie asks her to try on a new dress. She’s disappointed to realise it’s for Kat.
Phil offers to cover Heather’s funeral when Shirley stresses if she can’t afford a basic funeral Heather’s body will go in a public grave. Anxious to offload George, Phil rings Darren and urges him to come home. Later, Phil guiltily hugs Shirley as she sobs that Darren’s coming back for George.
Derek’s keen to move into the Butchers’. He wins the kids round with Easter eggs but Bianca won’t let him move into Pat’s old room. Bianca’s gutted Dot assumed she’d been helping at the launderette unpaid. Morgan rips his new football boots. Derek tries to buy his way in with replacements but Bianca slams the door.
Denise and Jack are unaware they have blind dates with each other. Denise’s furious when Jack soaks her while washing his car, and retaliates by throwing a jug of water over him at the Argee Bhajee.
