George's presence in the Mitchell household continues to pile the pressure on Ben and Jay, leading Phil to make a painful decision. Michael appears uninterested by wedding plans.

Phil tells Shirley he and Ian have agreed a price for the cafe. Having assured Ben and Jay George won鈥檛 be around much longer, Phil鈥檚 dismayed when Shirley suggests paying Darren off. Jay barely copes when Lola jokes about Heather and can鈥檛 fathom how Ben鈥檚 acting so normally. Ben tells Phil Jay nearly lost it. Phil tries to persuade Shirley George should be with Darren. He says he鈥檒l do anything to stop her hurting but when she asks him to marry her, insists she鈥檚 not asking for the right reasons. The police have finished with Heather鈥檚 flat and Janine wants it cleared. Phil supports Shirley, but once they鈥檙e inside the flat quickly makes his excuses and leaves. Alone, Shirley puts on Heather鈥檚 record player and gives way to her grief. Shirley insists Billy shouldn鈥檛 clear out the flat. A social worker arrives to take George. Shirley accuses Dot of calling Social Services, Phil admits it was him. Shirley鈥檚 distraught as she says goodbye to George. Phil looks on as Shirley watches George being driven away.
Having apologised to Andrew, Dot then appeals to Shirley and Phil on his behalf. Rose gives Shirley a CD from Andrew, Shirley refuses an egg he鈥檚 sent for George. Andrew realises George is being taken away.
Michael avoids wedding talk and disappears to the gym after Janine mentions the pre-nup. She鈥檚 annoyed when he鈥檚 later distracted by his lost key fob. Remembering the fob was a St Christopher, Jean helps Michael search for it. He reveals it was a gift from his mother. Michael鈥檚 thrilled when Jean finds the fob.
Alfie gives Billy his share of the booze sale money. Billy finds Lola showing off her nursery equipment to Abi, he panics and when Janine arrives, Lola realises exactly where it came from.
The Vic holds an Easter egg hunt.
