In the Beechgrove Garden, Jim is looking to produce a succession of most people's favourite fruit - strawberries - all the way from May to September for a Beechgrove Strawberry Fayre. Meanwhile, Carole starts off all the tender greenhouse veg planned for this year as well as setting up a trial of grafted versus non-grafted tomatoes.

Lesley is back in Beechgrove's Garden For Life, which is the garden in Beechgrove where everything is good for wildlife. Last week Lesley and team gutted the garden and this week she puts the life and hopefully the wildlife back in by adding new plants. Lesley also discovers the pond is a lot bigger than she thought and uncovers a patio hidden by years of growth.

Carole visits Fife Gardens Jubilee Celebrations. In honour of the Queen's Jubilee, Scotland's Gardens Fife district is holding a garden festival over the weekend of 18-20th May. There is a mix of 12 gardens opening over the weekend; some gardens are grand, some informal, some are centuries old and full of history, others newly hewn from barren ground, some in exposed locations with magnificent views, others hidden from sight behind busy streets. Several have never opened for the public before. Between them they contain an amazing mix of beautiful plants. Carole will preview the festival weekend by visiting two of them.
