John McCririck

The racing pundit, John McCririck, tells Victoria that losing his age discrimination case against Channel 4 is a historic setback for older workers.

The racing pundit, John McCririck, says losing his age discrimination case is an historic setback for older workers. The 73 year-old had claimed at an employment tribunal that he was sacked by Channel 4 as part of a drive to recruit younger presenters. The tribunal threw the case out, describing him as "overbearing and sexist" and said he was dismissed for being a "loudmouthed male chauvinist". John McCririck speaks to Victoria and to 5 live listeners.

Plus a Fijian soldier who fought for the British Army for nine years and served in Afghanistan says he feels betrayed by plans to send him back to Fiji this weekend.
