Edi Stark sits in

Edi Stark sits in for Janice Forsyth and celebrates International Women's Day with a new book from Glasgow Women's Library and a play from Cornton Vale prison. Plus Phill Jupitus!

Today the Culture Studio celebrates International Women's Day!

Dare to Care is a new play from Stellar Quines that gives voice to the words and experiences of women incarcerated at Cornton Vale Prison. Writer and former prison warder, Christine Lindsay, and actor Alexandra Mathie give us an insight into life inside.

Glasgow Women's Library is celebrating International Women's Day in style with the publication of 21 Revolutions, a collection of new work from some of Scotland's leading artists and writers. Editor Adele Patrick, artist Jacki Perry and writer Kirsty Logan talk us through the history and the highlights.

And Kirsty Logan will also be reading us a short story from her new collection, The Rental Heart, a book of modern Scottish fairytales.

Illuminated Letters, opening at the Gallery of Modern Art in Glasgow on Saturday, is an exhibition of letters to inspirational women inspired by the illustrated letters of Niki de Saint Phalle. Donna Moore will be sharing some with of them us.

And comedian, presenter and poet, Phill Jupitus, joins us ahead of his gig at the Usher Hall's Comedy Gala.

All that and lots of great music on your daily Culture Studio!
