The Scottish government has proposed licences for airgun owners. Kaye Adams asks if there is a problem with airguns in Scotland.

David Cameron is now in Scotland. Alex Salmond has said that Cameron personifies "everything that is wrong" with British politics, The First Minister said an expected visit to Scotland by Mr Cameron would be counter-productive and provide a further boost to the Yes campaign.

Anyone who owns an airgun will need a licence under new measures proposed by the Scottish Government.
The Air Weapons and Licensing (Scotland) Bill laid before Holyrood seeks to introduce strict licensing measures for the estimated 500,000 air weapons in Scotland.
Under the proposed new scheme, anyone wanting to own an air gun would need to demonstrate they had a legitimate reason for doing so.
