Louise White asks: Is Christmas worth falling into debt for?

Over 1,000 people are being taken to court every day over personal debts, according to Scotland's insolvency body. Around 376,000 people in debt were the subject of court birds in 2013/14.
The news comes as a recent survey shows many Scots are still repaying debts from last Christmas.
The poll from Debt Advisory Centre Scotland found 12% of consumers are still in the red after racking up costs over the 2013 festive period and more than a third borrowed or relied on credit to cover their Christmas expenses.
