Len Goodman takes actor, writer and comedian Nigel Planer back to Ottery-St-Mary in Devon to relive his childhood holiday of 1960.

Len Goodman takes actor, writer, comedian and all-round legend Nigel Planer back to Ottery-St-Mary in Devon to relive his favourite childhood holiday, which he took back in 1960.

Straight away Len surprises Nigel by picking him up in a Ford Anglia, just like the one he would have travelled in all those years ago. On this holiday he stayed at his grandparents' house, and Len works his magic to get access to the actual house he stayed in. It's clearly emotional for Nigel, as he hasn't seen the house for many many years. He even goes up to his old bedroom to see where he would have slept for the whole summer.

In a holiday packed full of nostalgia, Len and Nigel cook up the staple of the 60s and something Nigel remembers his gran cooking, shepherd's pie. They also build a den, play cowboys and sheriff and then head to Diggerland to play with the big boys' toys and see who can move the most earth in a JCB!

Along the way we get an insight into Nigel's glittering career, from the groundbreaking sitcom The Young Ones to modern classics like Jonathan Creek, as well as his other work as a writer and comedian. We also find out what made this holiday so memorable for a young Nigel Planer.
