Michel Faber, T In the Park, and Poetry Aplenty!

Janice Forsyth tunes into what is happening in arts, culture and music across Scotland. Janice talks to Michel Faber about his new collection of poetry, Undying: A Love Story.

Michel Faber tells Janice about his first collection of poetry. Called 'Undying: A Love Story', it was written after the death of his wife, Eva, in 2014.

Nicola Meighan joins us hot-foot from a weekend a T In The Park bringing with her a clutch of stage-side interviews with some of the bands and artists appearing.

Four excellent poets read from their work: Rob A. Mackenzie and Janette Ayachi join us live ahead of a poetry event in Edinburgh on Tuesday. Carrie Etter and Daisy Lafarge send us virtual contributions.

As another Edinburgh bookshop closes, Janice discusses what bookshops have to do to survive in the internet age with the managing director of Waterstones, James Daunt, and Marie Moser, owner of The Edinburgh Bookshop.

In an episode of Talking Pictures, Kirsty Wark takes Anne Ellis to the Burrell Collection in Glasgow to discuss her favourite work of art.

Janice's Single of the Week is Keep Me by The Miss's. The band's Audrey Tait and Michelle Low join us live.

And Janice's Vinyl Verdict this week is between Rainy Days and Mondays by The Carpenters, and Storm In A Teacup by The Fortunes.
