RSPCA

This week David Grant heads to the East End of London to find out about the Christian origins of the RSPCA. The organisation was started in 1824 by a vicar, Rev Arthur Broome, and he even ended up in prison because of his work with the charity.

DIY Church

Connie Fisher travels to Wootton-Under-Edge in Gloucestershire to meet church goers who believe there鈥檚 nothing better than a bit of DIY. The congregation at Wootton Baptist have needed a new extension for 20 years, and so in the end have decided to build it themselves! Connie picks up a paint roller and finds out how the work is going, as well as how much money they鈥檝e saved along the way!

Pakistani Christians

Sally Magnusson is in Glasgow to find out about a very special twinning project between churches in the Scottish city and Hyderabad, Pakistan. She finds out how, though they are very different cities, they are trying to do very similar things to help the less fortunate in their communities.

RSPCA

David heads to an RSPCA shelter in Leybourne, Kent where he meets staff whose love for animals is informed by their Christian faith. They care for all creatures great and small, including ferrets and the odd injured rat that comes their way!
