Following three families with no farming experience living and working on a north Wales hill farm. Here, the families head to neighbouring farms that produce food on a big scale.

This week, the budding farming families experience farming on a totally different scale. As well as continuing their apprenticeship of the hill farm, each of the families heads to a neighbouring farm that produces food on a big scale.

The Burtons get to grips with milking cows in a dairy parlour that milks 400 cows twice a day, every day, 365 days a year.

The Morgans fly the nest and head to a free-range egg farm that produces 100,000 eggs every week for one of the UK's biggest supermarkets.

The McNultys get down and dirty on a large-scale pig farm producing sausages and bacon for local shops - this is the reality of where our food comes from. And of course, all the hard work on Gareth's farm continues, from dry-stone walling to fencing and shepherding wayward sheep.
