Joan Armatrading and Michaela Strachan

This week Michael welcomes Joan Armatrading and Michaela Strachan into the studio.

This week Michael hosts On The Ball and will be playing a few tracks from this weekend's Family Album as well as inducting another songwriter into his Hall of Fame.

This Sunday Michael is joined by Ivor Novello Award winning artist Joan Armatrading. Since performing for the first time aged 16 Joan has not only made history with her music but is widely thought of as one of the most revered songwriters of her time. She's released a new album and will embark on her tour later in the year and is making time to pop by the studio to perform live in the Musician's Circle

Also swinging by the studio is British wildlife expert extraordinaire Michaela Strachan. Michaela has been on our TV screens since the 1980s and has been an integral part of wildlife television ever since joining The Really Wild Show in 1993. The current Springwatch co-presenter will be playing Huxley in the arena tour of Walking With Dinosaurs and will be telling Michael all about it.
