The ice covering on the Mongolian rivers is treacherous and ever-changing in appearance. Despite this, Tuguldur has to find a suitable point at which to cross the river. The 10-year-old nomadic boy rides his horse alone to school, and each time must cross the frozen Tunkhel River in the north of Mongolia. He cannot trust the ice, one wrong decision and his horse could slip on the ice with him on its back or break through into the cold water below.

Facing the most extreme conditions, the children in this series must march, climb or swim their way to school. And yet, they have only one goal in sight, education and a better life. These children have the most spectacular and most dangerous way to school in the world.

Tha an deigh air uachdar nan aibhnichean Mongolianach cunnartach agus ag atharrachadh ann an cruth fad na h-ùine. A dh’ aindeoin seo, feumaidh Tugaldur àite a lorg airson faighinn gu taobh eile na h-aibhne. Tha am balach seo, a tha deich bliadhna a dh’ aois, a’ marcach leis fhèin dhan sgoil agus gach uair feumaidh e a dhol tarsainn air Abhainn Tunkhel, ann an ceann a tuath Mongolia. Chan urrainn earbsa a bhith aige san deigh, aon co-dhùnadh ceàrr agus dh’ fhaodadh an t-each a chasan a chall no tuiteam troimhe dhan uisge fhuar.

Feumaidh a' chlann san t-sreath seo coiseachd, sreap no snàmh ann an suidheachaidhean cunnartach air an t-slighe chun na sgoile. Chan eil aca ach aon amas: foghlam a nì leasachadh air am beatha. 'S ann aig a' chloinn seo a tha na slighean sgoile as cunnartaiche air thalamh – agus cuid dhen fheadhainn as bòidhche cuideachd.
