Sesame chicken and watercress salad

The Miquel family has been making wines in the Languedoc for a couple of centuries. They absolutely nail the Viognier grape and this is a gorgeous example from Laurent, the eighth generation winemaker in the family. Laurent picks the grapes at night when temperatures are lower which helps preserve the fruit characters in the grapes (more apricot than pineapple). This one鈥檚 really fresh and light with a touch of honeysuckle too. The dish needs a wine with freshness but enough weight to match the chicken.

Turn the white chocolate mocha into a slightly boozy hot chocolate by adding a dash of Amaretto or Irish Cream liqueur (or both!) or coffee liqueur. Or you could pair with an Ice Wine, a sweet wine made from frozen grapes that works a dream with most types of chocolate but is especially good with white chocolate.聽
