UK Youth is a charity committed to ensuring all young people are equipped to thrive and empowered to contribute at every stage of their lives. UK Youth work with their network of over 8,000 local youth organisations to collectively reach 4.1 million young people and provide them with safe community spaces, trusted adults to speak to and practical support to develop their skills and confidence. Youth work focuses on personal and social development of young people not fulfilled by formal education. It is a process of engaging with young people to deepen their understanding of themselves, their community and the world in which they live, to support them to proactively bring about positive changes.​

Many young people tell us their youth worker is the only trusted adult in their lives who they can go to. We provide these youth workers with training, networks and funding, so they are equipped to deliver the highest quality of support to young people who need it most.

In this appeal we hear from Jonas about his involvement with the 100 Black Men of London, a community-based charity who deliver programmes on mentoring, education, economic empowerment, and health & wellness.
