Enabling new starts
Our approach is long-term and holistic. Ruth from Tanzania who features in our appeal, was supported practically with food and a school uniform for her son as well as given training and a start-up microloan to start her own business. She also received emotional support and learnt more about her own her worth and how to exercise her rights as a woman.
Supporting women and girls around the world
We have worked with our partner in Tanzania, Cheka Sana, for 11 years but we also support similar projects in Burundi, South Africa and India. We meet children and young women on the streets, work with their families, challenge negative perceptions and advocate for their rights.
Long term commitment
Life for girls and young women on the streets is particularly hard and the support they need is challenging to provide and that鈥檚 why we nurture long-term and genuine relationships, resulting in better outcomes for women and girls.
