A US senator is taught his first Ulster Scots word, and a song fit for the King

Senator Joe Kennedy III is taught his first Ulster Scots word, and we learn how to write a song for the King.

Helen visited the launch of a unique exhibition at the Public Records Office in Belfast, which features one of the most famous documents in the world – America’s Declaration of Independence. She hears about the role played by Ulster Scots in the creation of the document and takes her chance to speak with – and teach a little Ulster Scots to none other than Senator Joe Kennedy III!
Meanwhile Rab chats with Lady Jane MacRae and Pipe Major Stuart Liddell MBE around the story behind a special piece of music composed for the King’s Coronation. Jonnie has also been out and about – visiting a special networking event at the Ulster Scots Centre gathering creative folk who are – or are planning to – bring Ulster Scots stories to the small screen.
And finally – we look forward to the Steam Rally at Shane’s Castle alongside one of the organisers!
As always, listeners are invited to contact the programme with a good Ulster-Scots yarn or event to talk about. The easiest way to do that is by email - kintra@bbc.co.uk.
