Hannah Peel presents highlights from a special Night Tracks live event at Kings Place in London, featuring performances from electronic pioneer and composer John Foxx, Ruisi String Quartet, virtuoso 鈥榪ueen of the qanun' Maya Youssef, pianist and composer Shida Shahabi, and experimental Japanese vocalist Hatis Noit.

Tonight we hear John Foxx with a solo piano set and music from his 'Arcades Project', taking us for an imaginary walk through the streets of Paris at night. The Ruisi Quartet conjures images of once grand houses now abandoned in music from Oliver Leith's The Big House, and Shida Shahabi invites us into her atmospheric, glacial sound world with a live performance of the title track from her most recent album, Living Circle. Plus Hatis Noit channels the energy of prehistoric Japanese culture in her track Jomon, and Maya Youssef performs alongside her trio for An Invitation to Daydream, written for her 2022 album Finding 主播大秀.
