Live music

Live music

The Christmas lights have gone up across our towns and cities - and continuing our annual tradition, we play nothing but live music as we head towards the end of the year.

In 2016, we continued to take the show on-the-road to some of the biggest events and most happening places in Herefordshire & Worcestershire.

This week, hear some of the performances we recorded at the Wychwood Festival, The Boar's Head in Kidderminster, Worley's The Swan in Stourport, The Conquest Theatre in Bromyard, Lakefest near Ledbury, Steps in Redditch, The Hay Festival and at the Montreal Jazz Festival.

Christmas Lights

Christmas Lights

This month's sessions were recorded at Malvern's Christmas Lights switch-on!

For the first time ever, 主播大秀 Introducing rocked up in Church Street to present some of finest new music around.

Thousands of people came to watch the ceremony, as well as looking around the market, having a go on the fairground rides and checking out the classic car collection.

This year, 主播大秀 Hereford & Worcester has officially switched on the lights in Worcester, Bromyard, Kidderminster, Malvern and Bromsgrove.

We Are Sailing

We Are Sailing
Over these听last few weeks, we've been听catching up with one of the most fascinating couples we have here in Herefordshire.

Jim Rolt and Sally Stamford met while performing at the Bromyard Folk Festival - and later in life, decided to give up the lot and take to the seas in a sailing boat.

They're from Bromyard and Kington, and for the last few years they've been dropping anchor and playing shows wherever the wind has taken them.

So far, their travels have taken them to the Scilly Isles, past the coasts of Spain and Portugal, El Rompido, along the Guadiana river, Chipiona, the Canary isles, Barbados, Bequia, St Lucia, Carriacou, ending up in Grenada - where we catch up with them tonight.

Manhattan School of Music

Manhattan School of Music

A Worcestershire saxophonist has returned to his home town with a band of international musicians that he met while studying in New York City.

Alex Woods, who's from Redditch, has teamed up with two French musicians to record his debut album and is now going on tour with听performers from all over the world.

The work, which is to be released in the middle of next year, has already been picked up by a record label and we'll be playing some of those exclusive tracks on this week's show.

主播大秀 Introducing in Evesham

主播大秀 Introducing in Evesham
主播大秀 Introducing in Hereford & Worcester supports unsigned, undiscovered and under-the-radar musicians from Herefordshire and Worcestershire.

Since 2011, we've been taking the show out on-the-road showcasing the very best musicians from our area.

Our next recording session takes place on Sunday 29 January where we'll be rolling up to the Evesham Arts Centre to record several acts who we've been playing on 主播大秀 Hereford & Worcester recently.

We'll bring the bands - all we need now is the fans!

None of these artists knew they were being considered for a live session - they were chosen based on the tracks they uploaded to us.

So if you'd like to Be Part Of It, then simply turn up any time from 2pm - it's free to get in - but you must be prepared to make lots of noise for local music!
