Fifteen Lions is a free-flowing solo act that Stuart Fiddes set in motion a little over a year ago after taking a long time out from music.

The Hay-on-Wye musician had the honour of performing at the HowTheLightGetsIn festival in his hometown earlier this year and is influenced by acts such as Richard Ashcroft, Biffy Clyro, Radiohead and Depeche Mode.

"Moving, haunting and mysterious tracks" - Andrew Marston.

Live music

Live music

The Christmas lights have gone up across our towns and cities - and continuing our annual tradition, we play nothing but live music as we head towards the end of the year.

In 2016, we continued to take the show on-the-road to some of the biggest events and most happening places in Herefordshire & Worcestershire.

This week, hear some of the performances we recorded at the Wychwood Festival, the Phoenix Theatre in Ross-on-Wye, Lakefest near Ledbury, The Malvern Christmas Lights switch-on, Nozstock near Bromyard, Steps in Redditch and at the Conquest Theatre in Bromyard.

Olly Murs

Olly Murs

It seems the big stars of the music world just can't keep away from Worcester at the moment.

Last week, we brought you news of Bryan Adams soon to be performing at Sixways and this week, we learn another big name is on his way.

Olly Murs, who has four number one singles under his belt, will be performing at New Road, at Worcestershire Cricket Club next June.

Christmas Lights

Christmas Lights

This month's sessions were recorded at Malvern's Christmas Lights switch-on!

For the first time ever, 主播大秀 Introducing rocked up in Church Street to present some of finest new music around.

Thousands of people came to watch the ceremony, as well as looking around the market, having a go on the fairground rides and checking out the classic car collection.

This year, 主播大秀 Hereford & Worcester has officially switched on the lights in Worcester, Bromyard, Kidderminster, Malvern and Bromsgrove.

Sound On Sound

Sound On Sound

What's the best way to record a band?

Last week, we started a brand new series with Paul White - the editor-in-chief of the recording magazine Sound On Sound, which Paul edits from his home in Malvern.

Since the 80s, his publication has been packed full of advice and reviews - covering everything from equipment, microphone placement, software and the best amps on the market.

This week, we discuss how to bring out the best in a singer.

EP launch party

EP launch party

An aspiring 17-year-old singer, who won the Wyre Forest Young Musician of the Year 2016 and achieved Best Composition and Solo Singer, has just released her debut EP.

Ellisha Green, from Kidderminster, recorded 'Platforms' at Load Street studios, which opened in Bewdey earlier this year.

Our reporter Nina Das Gupta went along to the release party - hear those celebrations on tonight's Introducing show.

主播大秀 Introducing in Evesham

主播大秀 Introducing in Evesham
主播大秀 Introducing in Hereford & Worcester supports unsigned, undiscovered and under-the-radar musicians from Herefordshire and Worcestershire.

Since 2011, we've been taking the show out on-the-road showcasing the very best musicians from our area.

Our next recording session takes place on Sunday 29 January where we'll be rolling up to the Evesham Arts Centre to record several acts who we've been playing on 主播大秀 Hereford & Worcester recently.

We'll bring the bands - all we need now is the fans!

None of these artists knew they were being considered for a live session - they were chosen based on the tracks they uploaded to us.

So if you'd like to Be Part Of It, then simply turn up any time from 2pm - it's free to get in - but you must be prepared to make lots of noise for local music!
