From 2100 GMT Philippa Thomas and Tim Franks will be in London analysing the results with a team of experts and senior politicians. Valerie Sanderson is in Scotland where in 2015 there was a seismic result which saw the Scottish Nationalists virtually wipe every other party off the electoral map.
