Zidane under pressure - 'Managers have been fired for a lot less'

Zinedine Zidane has his "work cut out"' to keep his job at Real Madrid after defeat by Girona at the weekend left his side eight points behind Barcelona, says journalist Raphael Honigstein.

The European football expert suggested the goodwill the Frenchman has after winning the Champions League twice is in danger of being eroded.

"Managers have been fired for far less misdemeanours than finishing eight points behind Barcelona. It鈥檚 unforgivable.

"Everything he鈥檚 done before will count for absolutely nothing if he doesn鈥檛 improve the league form."
