In session

Pr1ncemusic started off by making beats at college, at the end of 2017, in his breaks and lunches.
Ìý
He started to rap in Spring 2018 and all of his skills are self-taught.
Ìý
Pr1ncemusic AKA Jai Bains now regularly records vocals at the Old Smithy which he then finishes off at home on his laptop.
Ìý
And, in fact, his session at the Railway in Redditch for Ö÷²¥´óÐã Music Introducing was his first-ever gig!

"Some sick beats from an artist at the cutting edge of the music scene" - Andrew Marston.

500 gigs in 5 months

How do you fancy living a life of luxury - being fed, watered and put up in some incredible accommodation while touring the world, playing music and getting paid for it?
Ìý
That's exactly what Worcester musician Jasper Malone has been doing, having performed more than 500 gigs on board the Pacific Jewel cruise liner around the Australian coast.
Ìý
In recent years, his band, Jasper in the Company of Others, has shared the stage with Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Ben Howard, Ed Sheeran, Cast and Toploader.

Ö÷²¥´óÐã Music Introducing in Redditch

This month's sessions were recorded at the Railway in Redditch, which has become one of the main go-to venues for live music in the area.
Ìý
Every month, we rock up to one of our leading local venues at towns and cities across the region to reflect what's hot on the local scene.

Musicians' Masterclass

It's every musicians' dream...an audience that wants to part with their hard earned cash to see you.
Ìý
But how do you make that transition from playing £150 gigs - or free gigs, in many cases, to the them paying you directly?
Ìý
Step forth Steve Knightley, who's behind the multi-award winning acoustic roots duo Show of Hands. He came up with the concept of 'Grow Your Own Gig', which involves hiring village halls across the land and charging people admission.
Ìý
And that golden figure was £15. Any less and the audience simply thought the music wasn't worth going to see. So tonight, we dig deeper into those figures...
