In session

Aymee Weir is pop/electronic musician originally from Droitwich, who has spent the past three years honing her craft by busking on the streets of London.
Ìý
Developing her sound in bedroom studios, Aymee's sound ranges from acoustic guitar to distorted synths, catching the attention of many.
Ìý
Ö÷²¥´óÐã Radio 1's Matt Edmondson said: "I absolutely love 'Weight'. I remember feeling exactly the same when I heard Ellie Goulding for the first time, just before she took off and conquered the world, and I predict similarly big things for Aymee."
Ìý
But it all began for Aymee aged five, performing in school and county talent shows, later going on to perform at the Droitwich Salt Festival and the Worcester Music Festival.
Ìý
She says: "Growing up in Worcestershire gave me so many opportunities to perform in some amazing venues including the Chateau Impney and the Artrix Theatre, and it gave me the confidence and drive I needed to pursue my passion."
Ìý
"A sensational performance that stunned the audience from an artist who’s been taking over Ö÷²¥´óÐã 6 Music by storm" - Andrew Marston.
Ìý

Ellie Goulding's wedding

Pop stars, artists and royalty were among the guests at York Minster as Herefordshire singer Ellie Goulding married Caspar Jopling.
Ìý
Sarah, Duchess of York and her daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, were among the guests.
Ìý
A reception was held afterwards at Castle Howard, near Malton, about 15 miles from York.
Ìý
The 32-year-old musician became engaged to the 27-year-old art dealer in 2018.
Ìý
She arrived at the cathedral in a blue Volkswagen camper van and was greeted by cheers from the large crowd.

Musicians' Masterclass

As we continue our top tips from Ö÷²¥´óÐã Introducing Live, this week we hear from one of the most successful record producers of all time - Nile Rodgers.
Ìý
Born in New York City, Nile’s first professional gig came as a teenager working on a new TV show called Sesame Street! He then joined the house band at the world famous Apollo Theatre in Harlem before meeting bass guitarist Bernard Edwards who he formed a production company with called Chic Organisation Limited.
Ìý
Together, they wrote, produced and played songs for Ashford & Simpson, Luther Vandross, Chic, Norma Jean Wright, Sister Sledge, Diana Ross, Carly Simon, Teddy Pendergrass and Debbie Harry.
Ìý
They eventually disbanded the organisation and continued to write individually with Duran Duran, Madonna, Rod Stewart, ABC, The Powerstation, Robert Plant, Ronald Isley, Jeff Beck, David Bowie, The B52’s, Depeche Mode, Slash, Cyndi Lauper, Peter Gabriel, Jody Watley, The Thompson Twins, Mick Jagger, Eric Clapton, The Vaughan Brothers, INXS, Paul Simon, Hall & Oats, Laurie Anderson, Sheena Easton, Grace Jones, Al Jarreau, Bryan Ferry, Sting, Eddie Murphy, David Lee Roth, Mariah Carey, David Sanborn, Joss Stone, Bob Dylan, Britney Spears, Maroon 5, Adam Lambert, Sam Sparro, La Roux, Mark Ronson, Chase & Status, Alex Newell, Nicky Romero, Michael McDonald, Tensnake, Disclosure, David Guetta, Avicii, Mystery Skull, Sam Smith, Jota Quest, Anderson .Paak, Nao, Emily Sande, Elton John, Craig David, Lunchmoney Lewis, Ke$ha, Vic Mensa, Stefflon Don, George Michael, Keith Urban, Lady Gaga, Pharrell Williams, Daft Punk and Michael Jackson.
Ìý
Chic reformed at Nile’s birthday party in the early ‘90s and Prince inspired the band to go on tour in Japan, where Bernard passed away after the last show. Nile never thought he’d play any Chic music without him - but one year later, a Japanese promoter asked Nile to continue in tribute to Bernard - which inspired Nile to play more and more.
