I was born in Vancouver and gained my BMus from the University of British Columbia and Mmus from McGill Schulich School of Music, and I’m a graduate of the Adler Fellowship Program with San Francisco Opera and the Canadian Opera Company’s Ensemble Studio.

Recently I won first prize in the Concours Musical International de Montréal - Aria Division, second prize and best mezzo-soprano of Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg and the 2022 Igor Gorin Memorial Award. Previous accolades include Second Prize Winner for the Concours OSM and inclusion on CBC’s 30 Hottest Classical Musicians Under 30 list.

I’ve spent the 2022/23 season as member of Opernhaus Zürich’s International Opera Studio. As well as performing on the mainstage in Zürich, I’ve appeared with San Francisco Opera, Teatro Nuovo and Vancouver Opera, where roles I have performed and covered include the title roles in La Cenerentolaand Hansel and Gretel, Anna Maometto Secondo, Cherubino Le nozze di Figaro, Dorabella Così fan tutte andStephano Roméo et Juliette.

My concert work includes recitals in the Richard Bradshaw Free Concert Series, Schwabacher Recital Series, Toronto Summer Music Festival and Songfest, with repertoire including Messiaen’s Harawi, and Respighi’s Il tramonto. Within the Canadian contemporary music scene, I’ve workshopped, performed and recorded operas, scenes and art song cycles with Tapestry Opera and the COC.

In future, I’d like to perform as much as possible over a wide range of styles from baroque to contemporary, both on the opera and concert stages.

My interests include picking up bargains at flea markets, crafting, hiking and indoor rock climbing.

Yn ddiweddar, enillais y wobr gyntaf yn y Concours Musical International de Montréal - Adran Aria, yr ail wobr a mezzo-soprano orau Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg a Gwobr Goffa Igor Gorin yn 2022. Rydw i wedi treulio tymor 2022/23 fel aelod o Stiwdio Opera Ryngwladol Opernhaus Zürich. Yn y dyfodol, hoffwn berfformio cymaint ag y bo modd mewn amrywiaeth eang o arddulliau, o baróc i gyfoes, ar y llwyfan opera a’r llwyfan cyngherddau.
