It鈥檚 the courage, determination and heroism of explorers who have brought us that greater understanding of earth itself.

He’s been a huge fan of exploration in all its forms since he was little. From polar exploration to the world’s first space missions he’s passionate about it all, so much so that he’s a member of the Royal Geographical Society.

Dermot is convinced that explorers are the true icons of the 20th century. He believes that:

The 20th century was when we really got to know our planet, when we realised its true potential and then its utter fragility. It’s the courage, determination and heroism of explorers who have brought us that greater understanding of earth itself.
